Southwest Florida is emerging from the aftermath of Hurricane Irma. Many lives have been touched with loss, anxiety and stress. We suggest a peaceful stroll in our ancient forest can be a cure. Experiences in nature have proven to have many health benefits and spending time under a canopy of a living forest is especially calming, rejuvenating and restorative.
While Corkscrew suffered damage during the hurricane, with debris and fallen old-growth trees on the boardwalk, our volunteers, staff and friends have worked tirelessly to reopen a scenic one-mile portion of the boardwalk.
